Indigo Essences

Larimar & Rose Quartz came into being on this day, February 21st, 2002. This wonderfully healing essence has helped me so much over the years so now I want to take a bit of time to acknowledge it.I’ve just filled a calender with the birthdays of the Indigo Essences and realise that Larimar & Rose Quartz was made in the same year that Ruby & Kyanite 2 was finally finished. By this time, February 2002, I’d realized that Inner Child Healing would be an essential part of our progress into another level of consciousness. If we don’t heal the crystalized hurts we took on as children then we will still be numbed in those areas and unable to either fully love ourselves or to feel for the needs of the new child in this area.

Most of us have only ever experienced very conditional love, it’s been the norm in our society.

• ‘I will love you if…’

• ‘I will love you when…’

• ‘I will love you on condition that….’

And sadly, we are also conditional with ourselves.

• ‘I will love myself when…..I’m perfect’

• ‘I will love myself when I’m healed’

• ‘I will love the ‘nice’ parts of myself’

• ‘I will love the ‘good’ part of myself’

Movement into this next level of consciousness demands that we integrate fully all parts of ourselves, which means that we learn to love every single bit of ourselves, the good, the bad and the ugly. And this is where Larimar & Rose Quartz comes in.

Larimar comes from the warm seas around the Caribbean, is the colour of the sky on a beautiful summer day and carries the warmest love from Mother Earth. This stone is known to help dissolve patterns of self sabotage and to restore serenity.

Rose Quartz is one of the most well known healing stones and for good reason. This abundant stone teaches unconditional love.The piece of Larimar that I used isn’t perfect, it’s cracked. Now combined with the energy of the wonderful stone of unconditional love, Rose Quartz, the message of this essence is that you can love and accept all parts of yourself. This essence also encourages you to be gentle with yourself and know that there is no such thing as ‘wrong’. Larimar & Rose Quartz will help you to find the love within yourself, for you.It is a wonderful essence to use at any stage of Inner Child Work, and most particularly after you’ve been though a major clearing when you might be feeling fragile. You can use Larimar & Rose Quartz like you would any other essence, by taking orally or putting in a spray but here are three ways I particularly like to use this essence:

• Put Larimar & Rose Quartz in your favourite cream, add a few drops of rose oil and massage yourself in any place where you feel pain and hurt.

• Add Larimar & Rose Quartz to your bath, and lie back and allow the water to carry the feelings of self loathing away

• Add drops of Larimar & Rose Quartz to your clothes and linen wash so that you are surrounded by this loving energy 24/7.

For children Larimar & Rose Quartz will help them to hold off the energies of conditional love that society tries to place on the child, it will help the child to stay whole and in love with him/herself.

Parents are having a really hard time now, harder than ever before. Parenting these new kids is a full on job and there is NO manual, we’re all learning as we go along. So first of all, let me say that I applaud you, parents of the new kids, it’s not an easy job.

And secondly, I know you get advice from every quarter - learn this, do that, change the other and THEN all will be well. Before you read this, I want you to give yourself a pat on the back and know that you are doing the best job you can do. Well done.

And thirdly, I want you to know that there is NO such thing as a perfect family. Parents of new kids sometimes look around and see families with children who seem so well behaved and polite and compliant….. well, behind closed doors there is often a different story. Your kids have just chosen to express their authentic selves wherever they are.

And finally….. don’t ever look back. You know what you know and you do the best that you can do in the moment.

Keeping the above in mind, I decided to add yet another tip to the pile you’ve already got. I’ve been inundated by parents  looking for help with their kids and I feel that we’ve got to pool information about what works to help these high vibration kids feel comfortable on this planet while their parents stay sane (ish).

So here is today’s snippet. I’ll tell you a story first and then we can look at the details.

The story is that young, first time parents came to see me because their baby wouldn’t stop crying. I know a bit about crying babies, I did a disertation on the subject when I was studying homeopathy. So I went through the usual routine, asking questions, looking for problems. Nothing was obvious, they were both very intelligent (iq & eq), educated, healthy, spiritual, loving parents. And yet, the baby was crying and crying.

I sat there looking at the baby and suddenly something clicked. I asked the mom had anything happened to her when she was that age? ‘Oh’, she said, ‘What didn’t happen to me, I was in a SCU, lot of pain, in and out of hospital’  and, as she talked and cried …… the baby stopped crying.

So what happened ?  The baby was reacting to the pain the mother held deep inside herself from when she herself was a little baby. As soon as the mother connected with that pain and began to release it, her little baby felt better.

Almost all adults hold crystalised pain  inside themselves from trauma they experienced as children.  Most of us go through life paying little attention to this pain until something happens to trigger it. Identifying and letting go of this pain is often called ‘Inner Child Work’.’ I’ve written  about this process on the Indigo Essences web site so check it out if you’ve never heard of it before.

 So, it looks like sensitive children will react intensely to their parents inner child pain. But why would they do that, what purpose does it serve?  We need to take a step back and look at the job these kids came here to do.

 Here’s the deal - planet earth and all her inhabitants are ready for an upgrade, scheduled to take place around 2012. The upgrade will shift us into another level of consciousness, much nicer, more loving, less full of fear and struggle.  Sounds great and I’m so looking forward to it. The problem is that lots of us haven’t finished our lessons in the old level. Solution - send in some kids to lovingly provoke, prod and pester their parents into becoming conscious of what they need to let go off in order to graduate from the old level of consciousness.

Our problem is that we are ONLY just getting what their job is so it’s been a bit slow taking off.  Now we’re all under time constraints, 2012 is meant to be graduation day and we haven’t finished our projects. So the kids are intensifying their efforts to get us on track.

 So parents, and anyone dealing with kids, if your child is doing something that is really pushing your buttons - making you sad, angry, frustrated, upset etc. and you can’t see an obvious cause, look to yourself for a solution. In fact, even if there is an obvious cause (food, environment etc), if their behaviour can push your buttons, that shows you still have buttons to push. The buttons are the unresolved fears and wounds of your little inner child, they are what cause you to react sometimes with the emotional intelligence of a two year old.

 Healing the inner child is a vital part of the work we all need to do to move up a level of consciousness.  This healing unlocks our frozen and numbed feelings and  sensitizes us to the needs of ourselves, our child and every child and this sensitivity will go on to create a world where every being is loved and cherished unconditionally.

 And you know something parents - Inner Child healing will also fire you up with a renewed passion for your own life.  It will reconnect you with the things you loved as a kid, with the feelings of joy and freedom that you once felt, with the way you were before you took on the responsibility of a family, mortage etc.  It is SO worth it.

How to go about it ? If you’ve had an averagely traumatic life then you can probably do inner child work by yourself. If you’ve been through a lot as a child it is a good idea to give yourself the gift of working with a professional who can guide you through the process.

Essences are really helpful to balance and stabilize you and help you move through things more quickly. The New Child Series and indeed the Combinations for Kids both work very well with the inner child. Browse the sets and choose the ones that shout out to you.

EFT (emotional freedom technique) is another really useful way to move through inner child healing in double quick time, I usually recommend that you do this and use essences as well to speed up the process.

The Indigo Essence I’m in Heaven was made on this day, 12.12 in 2004.

The stone is a beautiful piece of Aquamarine set in Mica. While the essence was being made the essence making bowl was surrounded with pieces of Apophyllite and Peach Stillbite and Ruby.

Most of the essences I make take just a few hours, or even minutes, to come in but this one was cooking until the Solstice, 21.12.04.

Firstly, a look at the stones involved in making this essence. These stones all have many more qualities, I’m just listing the ones that I feel strongest:

Aquamarine - connection to higher consciousness, service to the world.

Mica - flexibility, self-reflection, growthand the helper stones.

Ruby - in this case, represents the birth canal, birthing these energies of higher consciousness and bringing them into the earth plane. I’m interested to read that Melody in her book Love is in the Earth says of Ruby ‘This mineral stimulates the heart chakra and assists one in the selection and attainment of ones ultimate values.’  This turned out to be central to the properties of this essence.

Apophyllite - this beautiful mineral is clear and very light and forms diamond shaped faces. A common representation of duality (male/female, ying/yang, heaven/earth) is the 6 pointed star, as in the Star of David, which is formed of two triangles. As we move out of duality and into unity consciousness, the triangles merge and form a diamond. Apophyllite helps us to connect the energies of heaven and earth.Stillbite (peach) represents a return to innocence and the colour peach represents the energy of heart and will working together.

I remember being amazed that the essence was taking so long to complete and then realised that it was making full use of the stargate that was open from the 12th to the 21st of December.

 When the essence was finally ready to be sealed I picked up the bowl and heard the first few words of the song Cheek to Cheek by Irving Berlin ‘Heaven, I’m in Heaven, and my heart beats so that I can hardly speak’. 

Wow, I thought, essence Prozac. The feeling was amazing. I felt like I was home, Paradise floated through my mind. A few days after the essence was sealed and bottled for the first time I made it into a spray with the addition of a few drops of organic rose oil. I remember making a label and sending some over to the ladies in Universal Essences as a present. They loved it and asked for some to sell immediately.

 I loved the spray as well and sprayed myself compulsively until the bottle was almost empty. It was then I began to realise more about the qualities of this essence.

I realised that aligning with the energy of this essence does bring about a feeling of being in Heaven but it also shows me clearly where I am not aligned to my full self, where I am making decisions out of habit, out of fear, out of conditioning rather than out of love and trust.

A good friend and fellow essence maker said to me that using I’m in Heaven is like having an angel sitting on your shoulder who pokes you every time you are about to make a decision and asks ‘is this decision in alignment with your highest good right now?’

So I’m in Heaven can help when

you have decisions to make about your future

 you find yourself repeatedly making fear based choices, for example I’d better take this job (even though I don’t like it) because I’m afraid to really step out and follow my dream

when you are feeling a bit fed up with your life and need reminding you that you need to change the decisions you are making.

Sleep Easy is our best selling essence.  Parents are endlessly asking us if we have something to ‘make’ their baby sleep.  Not in our tool kit, we say. The queen of imperfect green-ness, Janey Lee Grace, has been talking about the Indigo Essence Sleep Easy on the Wright Stuff on Ch 5 TV.  Janey has written several books - Imperfectly Natural Woman, Imperfectly Natural Baby & Toddler and, coming soon as far as we know, Imperfectly Natural Home. Her website is a mine of information on all things green for the family and home. I love her attitude. She describes herself as ‘lime’ green and says she isn’t perfect. I think she is inspiring lots of people by describing her own experience as a working mother of 4 children who is doing her best, in a fun way, for her children and the planet.

Been having problems with our online shop. A lovely patient lady with an umlaut in her name was trying to order lots of Indigo Essences. Seems our online shop doesn’t read language with odd characters.

Our wonderful web person Russell did what he could and then realised that there was a snag at the payment processing end. He got onto the company and they didn’t want to know……yay for customer service.

So for the moment, we’d better put a big sign on the site - sorry our website only reads English. If you’re ordering from Germany or Sweden or Iceland or anywhere else with different looking letters you’re out of luck…….until we change our payment processing company and that’ll be speedy quick.

Hello Everyone, and welcome to the Indigo Essences Blog. My name is Ann. Barbara, my sister will probably also be blogging here too.We both are directors of a very small company which manufactures and sells gem essences. We do our very very best to be as environmentally friendly as possible but boy is it difficult sometimes. At the moment we are putting some of our favourite essences - Chill, Settle, Sleep Easy and Happy into very fab candles. We want them to be as pure as possible. Do you know what goes into most candles ? Eeeek. Look into it - they hardly ever tell you on the box and it’s scarey when you find out. I’m quite careful about the chemicals I bring into my house - all natural cleaners etc. But I love candles and burn them a lot. I never thought about what was in them until recently when we started to have candles made for us.Most candles are made from paraffin and the really cheapo ones may have lead in the wicks. Almost all have synthetic smells, even when they say they use essential oils. We have a friend who gets an asthma attack any time she is around synthetic smells and can’t have any of the usual smelly stuff in the house.However - she is fine with our candles - because we only use organic essential oil - no synthetic fillers at all. Of course, there is a price to pay for purity …. our candles will be more expensive than quite a lot of other ones ….. but they won’t cost the earth, not if we can help it.
